IPMAT Pattern

The IPMAT entrance exam 2025, conducted by IIM Indore, is a national-level test for admission into the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). This exam assesses a candidate's aptitude in mathematics and English through a structured format. It will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and consists primarily of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

According to the official IPMAT exam pattern, the paper is divided into three sections: Quantitative Ability (MCQs), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer), and Verbal Ability. The total exam duration is 2 hours, and each section is individually timed, requiring candidates to manage time efficiently within the allotted limits for each section. Switching between sections is not allowed once a section begins.

The exam includes 100 questions in total. Each correct answer carries +4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions, encouraging students to attempt questions carefully without penalty for leaving any unattempted.

Understanding the IPMAT exam pattern in advance helps candidates structure their preparation accordingly. Regular mock tests, solving previous papers, and practicing within time limits can significantly enhance performance.
