IPMAT Syllabus

IPMAT or Indian Institutes of Management Joint Management Entrance Test will be conducted by IIM Indore on June 16, 2023, in the afternoon session for admission to its 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The IPM score will be not only be accepted by IIM Indore but also by IIM Ranchi, Nirma University Ahmedabad, TAPMI, IIFT, and NALASAR among other top BBA Colleges for BBA/ BBA(Hons)/IPM admission 2023. By practising IPMAT question papers from previous years, candidates will understand the topics to study for the IPMAT 2023 test. The Indian Institutes of Management Joint Management Entrance Test (IPMAT) syllabus covers a wide range of topics and areas to evaluate candidates' aptitude and analytical abilities for them to be considered for admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). The syllabus for the IPMAT is described in detail here:

1. Quantitative Ability (QA):

Numbers Properties of numbers, divisibility, HCF, and LCM, remainders, fractions, decimals.
Algebra Equations, inequalities, quadratic equations, progressions, permutations and combinations, logarithms.
Geometry Lines, angles, triangles, circles, polygons, mensuration, coordinate geometry.
Data Interpretation Tables, bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts, caselets.

2. Verbal Ability (VA):

Reading Comprehension Comprehension passages and questions based on them.
Vocabulary Synonyms, antonyms, analogies, word usage, fill in the blanks
Grammar Sentence correction, error identification, sentence completion, sentence formation.
Para Jumbles Arranging jumbled sentences in a logical sequence.
Para Completion Completing a given paragraph by choosing the most appropriate sentence.

3. Logical Reasoning (LR):

Data Arrangement Linear arrangement, circular arrangement, matrix arrangement, seating arrangement.
Number Series Finding the missing number or next number in a given series.
Coding-Decoding Coding and decoding of words, patterns, and symbols.
Blood Relations Questions based on family tree and relationships.
Direction Sense Questions based on directions and distances.
Clocks and Calendars Questions based on time, dates, and calendars.

It is crucial that candidates have sufficient knowledge in these areas and fully understand the concepts and principles. To become proficient in each section, candidates must practise frequently, solve sample papers, and take mock exams. To ensure complete understanding of the syllabus, it is advised to refer to suggested study materials, textbooks, and online resources.

Numbers, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation are among the main topics in the IPMAT QA sections.
Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, para jumbles, and para completion are the main areas of emphasis in the IPMAT VA section.
