The eligibility criteria for graduate and postgraduate medical programs are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for the graduate Medical programs:

  • Students need to secure at least 50% in 12th from a recognized board with physics, biology/zoology, chemistry and English as mandatory subjects.
  • Students from backward sections are provided with a relaxation in subject percentages in line with the rules set by the Government of India.
  • Students have to compulsorily qualify for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET (for Undergraduate).

Eligibility Criteria for the postgraduate Medical programs:

  • Students need to have completed his/her graduate level program like BDS, MBBS, BAMS, etc. from a recognized college.
  • The student is also required to qualify for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET for pg medical ) or state level post graduate medical entrance exam

Seat distribution for Med school Bachelor's programs in Medical Colleges in India:

Colleges are required to allocate 15% of all seats for students filling in through the All India Quota. This quota has the following breakup.

  • 15% seats for SC
  • 7.5% seats for ST
  • 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped applicants
  • 27% seats for a non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions

The remainder of the seats includes the management quota and other quotas but is subject to change from college to college.

Mbbs Private College Fees falls in a very broad range. Usually the more popular the college, the higher the fees is. The return on investment calculated by becoming practitioners justifies the fees charged at these institutions. For this reason, the course fee for med school courses are reasonable.
