Admission in Mount Carmel College is based on a selection process. The admittance selection procedure varies across the courses. Generally, admission for undergraduate programs are based on class 12 marks and interview, while PG admissions are based on merit.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs:

  • Candidates applying for UG programs in Humanities, B.Voc, BCA, and Science should have passed 10 + 2 education from Karnataka Board or any other equivalent board.
  • A candidate opting for Physics should have studied both physics and mathematics as the main subjects in their 12th standard.
  • A candidate choosing Statistics should have studied that subject or Mathematics at the qualifying assessment.
  • A candidate to applying for Biotechnology, Botany, Nutrition and Dietetics, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Human Development, or Zoology should have studied that subject or Biology and Chemistry as main subjects.
  • To apply for B.Com, a 10 + 2 education is mandatory. Additionally, the applicants should have studied Business Studies and Accountancy as main subjects.
  • For BBA, candidates should have passed 10 + 2 education in Commerce/ Arts/ Science.
  • For the BA- Honors program in Communication Studies, applicants should have secured first-class in the 12th standard examination and should also qualify for the entrance exam conducted by MCC.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Courses:

  • Applicants for humanities, science, and M.Com must have passed the qualifying UG examination with an aggregate of 50% marks in the core subjects.
  • Candidates applying for MCA should have passed a B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com or equivalent with at least 50% marks in the core subjects in all the 3 years and should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the +2 level.

Eligibility Criteria for Integrated 4 years BA –B.Ed and B.Sc – B.Ed:

  • The fundamental eligibility criterion for the above-mentioned Mount Carmel College Courses is to pass the 12th Standard examination with 60% marks.

Mount Carmel Admission Guidelines:
