NID Courses

The NID’s vision is to create a design-aware/conscious society through education that fosters innovation and invention, aims to solve problems and stages experiences, and its mission is to emerge as a leader in design research rooted in its unique global milieu and influence technology design, which leads to new job opportunities in the country.

NID Bangalore offers courses at the postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Given below are the courses offered by the university across various disciplines with their specializations.

Eligibility:

• For admission to the M.Des candidates should have passed B.Des or any other graduate degree in a relevant discipline, followed by NID DAT-Design Aptitude Test with two levels: DAT Mains and DAT Prelims.
• Candidates who have a full-time diploma of 4-year duration in Design/ Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Architecture after the 12th are also eligible to apply for the M.Des course.
• For admission to the Ph.D. candidates should have completed a Master’s degree in design from a recognized board.
