Sushruta Ayurvedic College Bangalore has earned a very strong name for itself in the healthcare and education field. Eligibility Criteria:
In order to eligible for admission into BAMS programme, the applicant should have cleared the qualifying examination PUC / 10+2 equivalent test that has been recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) while having secured not less than 50% marks in PCB taken together as well as in English (mandatory subject).
(While for the SC/ST candidates 40% marks as minimum) The merit for selection is based on the entrance ( COMEDK / KCET) examination result with a minimum of 50% marks. However with respect to ST/SC candidates the minimum marks needed is relaxed to 40% instead of 50%.
Age:
The applicant should have turned 17 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the year of admission. All applicants from outside Karnataka State must obtain the eligibility certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Those applicants from the minority status need to have a Tulu speaking certificate from the concerned authorities.
For CBSE (10+2) and Non-Karnataka applicants:
Those applicants that have completed 10+12 from the CBSE Board and applicants who are Non Karnataka Students are required to secure an Eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) prior to the admission process. On the other hand applicants who have completed 10+12 from a foreign nation also need to obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) prior to the commencement of the admission process at Sushrutha. Again those applicants from outside the state of Karnataka also need to obtain Migration Certificates from concerned authorities of their respective states prior to seeking admissions at the college.
For NRI or NRI Sponsored Candidates:
NRI Candidates or NRI Sponsored Candidates are required to secure the Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in Bangalore before seeking admissions in the institute. They are also required to get the necessary clearance from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi and also from the Local Police Commissioner as well along with clearances from their respective foreign embassies.
