BMS Institute of Technology courses offer all the branches of B.Tech and M.Tech which students mostly desire to pursue. BMSIT was established in the year 2002-2003 with only three Engineering Departments which were Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. But with the due course of time other major programmes like TCE, EEE, ISE etc were also included along with it other PG programmess like M Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Machine Design etc. were also introduced. Along with UG and PG courses BMSIT also offers various Research Programme at different research centers where many research scholar works in diverse research areas.

BMS Institute of Technology Courses covers all the highly professional courses and to deal with this the institute has a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. More than thirty faculty members hold doctoral degree and around forty are pursuing the same. The Institute is continuously recruiting faculties who hold high experience in academia, industry and research. The Institute offers contemporary, comprehensive and competitive teaching and learning methods to help students more clear with the concept. For effective learning by students the Institute follows learner centric methods in academics. The Institute has all the academics facility and well equipped laboratories for course work, teaching and student projects to facilitate high class learning experience for students. There are around 800 computers which are connected in the network with all necessary licensed software. The Institute is helping the students in getting exposure to all the new and cutting edge technologies by means of organizing various industrial visits and technical talks by particular and specific domain experts of reputed industry or research organizations. The students are always encouraged to involve themselves in creative, technical and research activities so that they can improve themselves and this has resulted in Students performing well in the university examination.

BMS Institute of Technology follows Outcome Based Education (OBE) which has learner centric methods and which includes Cooperative learning, collaborative learning and other OBE approaches. Students are made efficient through project based learning where the learning is made more interesting and effective by exposing them to innovative/interdisciplinary projects. This also takes place through Industry attached labs.
