The UPSC NDA results are released on the UPSC website a few weeks after the examination. Shortlisted candidates are invited to the counselling procedure after the results are announced. The Services Selection Board (SSB) oversees the counselling. Based on their merit rank and the number of vacancies and medical fitness, candidates are given the opportunity to choose their preferred academy (Army, Navy, or Air Force) at this stage. It is crucial to remember that while candidates' preferences are considered, the final allocation is determined by the candidate's rank and the requirements of the academy.
The SSB Interview is conducted in two stages. Stage I consists of the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) and the Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT). Stage II consists of Group Testing Officers Test, Personal Interview, and Conference. To check the UPSC NDA results, candidates can visit the UPSC website and enter their roll number or name. The final merit list, which includes the names of candidates who have been selected for admission to the NDA and INA, is typically released a few months after the SSB Interviews are conducted.
The entire NDA selection procedure consists of the UPSC-organized NDA written test, a personal interview, medical exams, and a final merit list. For academic training in the disciplines for which they have applied, the qualified candidates are contacted. Students must achieve the required minimum cut-off marks in the written test to be qualified.
The candidates who are qualified for admission to multiple Services/Courses will be given consideration for allocation or selection based on their preference or order, and if they are ultimately allocated to one Service/Course, they will not be considered for admission to the other Services/Courses that are still available.
It is important to remember that the counselling procedure is very competitive and that there are a limited number of seats available. Therefore, to increase their chances of getting into the academy of their choice, aspirants should do well to get a high rank on the merit list.
