IIT JAM Application

The IIT JAM 2025 exam application process officially began on September 3rd, 2024. Interested candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria and complete the form within the stipulated timeline. Only candidates who fulfill the IIT JAM exam eligibility requirements are permitted to apply for the examination.

Mode of Application

• The entire application process is online.
• No offline mode is available for submission.

Candidates must visit the official JAM 2025 portal to complete the application. The deadline for submitting the filled application form is 18th October 2024. Any candidate who fails to complete the submission within the allotted window will have their application rejected.

Steps Involved in IIT JAM 2025 Application

The IIT JAM exam application consists of the following steps:

• Candidates must create a login ID and password using a valid email ID and mobile number.
• Applicants are required to provide personal details, academic qualifications, and contact information.
• Document Upload
• The application fee must be paid online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
• After reviewing the form, candidates should submit it and take a printout of the application for future reference.

Application Correction Facility

An official correction window is provided for candidates who need to edit specific details in their application form. However, not all fields are editable, and the correction period is limited, so applicants should fill out their forms carefully.

Eligibility Criteria

The individuals who wish to take up the IIT JAM should ensure they fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

• The candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or are currently pursuing their final year of the undergraduate program are eligible.
• The applicants who have passed without a mark sheet should submit a certificate specifying the subjects that were studied during that semester/year, fully attested by the Institute Head.
• Candidates who are foreign nationals with Indian degrees are eligible to apply.

Documents Required for IIT JAM 2025 Admission

In alignment with the IIT JAM exam eligibility criteria, candidates must upload and submit the following documents:

• Nationality Certificate: Any one of the following is acceptable:
• Birth Certificate
• Voter ID
• Passport (first page)
• School Transfer Certificate (showing nationality)
• Government-issued Nationality Certificate
• Note: Aadhar Card, Ration Card, PAN Card, Driving License, and similar documents are not accepted. If no valid proofs are available, a signed declaration form must be uploaded.
• Academic Documents:
• X and XII standard mark sheets/certificates
• All available year/semester-wise mark sheets of the qualifying degree
• Consolidated mark sheet, if available
• Degree or provisional certificate, if available
• Additional Documents:
• Filled-in JAM 2025 Declaration Form
• Valid category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), if applicable
• PwD certificate in the prescribed format, if applicable

Important: The name on all documents must match exactly that used in the JAM 2025 application form.
