IIT JAM Exam Preparation

The candidates should go through the material and test pattern in detail before beginning their preparation since this will help you carefully organise your preparation timetable. The list of tips that are noted below can help you with your preparation process:

  • Be thorough with the syllabus & exam pattern:Before making a study schedule, make sure you are familiar with the exam format and syllabus.
  • Make a sturdy plan: Study the syllabus clearly and plan your schedule wisely according to the syllabus and set up particular times for each subject, including revision. Make sure you cover every subject. Try not to deviate from the plan.
  • Mock Test: To know how far you have prepared for the exam take mock tests often. As it will help you find the portions that are difficult for you, analyze them, and try concentrating more on those sections.
  • Coaching Institutions: If you find it tough to do self-study. Then opting for a coaching institution would be a great choice. You can access different study guides, test questions from previous years, and receive instruction from qualified experts.
  • Keep track of your progress: Make sure that you don't skip any concepts from the syllabus and evaluate your progress repeatedly. Keep track of the things you have and haven't covered.
  • Don't forget to revise: Aim to spend at least a few hours each day on revising the subject that you have studied on that particular day. Additionally, by revising constantly and attempting to solve previous year's question papers, you will solidify the concepts in your mind.
  • Stop stressing and stay healthy: Take an adequate amount of breaks during the preparation time, consume healthy foods, and adhere to a regular sleeping schedule. To manage your stress, practise yoga or meditation. Instead of spending too much time on your phone during breaks, try engaging in a hobby.
