Result

The result for IIT JAM 2023 was released by the Indian Institute of Technology, Guhawati on the official website https://joaps.iitg.ac.in/ on March 21 in online mode. The result of the qualified candidates was announced in the form of a merit list. Which will be prepared based on the result of the applicants. The candidates can check the results on the official website by login in using their enrolment ID and password. After the results are let out the scorecard will also be published on the official website which the candidates can download. On April 3rd the scorecard for JAM 2023 was published.

Counselling

The individuals who have qualified for the JAM exam should fill in the admission form as a next step. They have to fill in their choice of program and institution in the admission form based on which the candidates will be considered for admission. The admission process will be conducted in four rounds and those candidates who encounter admission in any one of these rounds are asked to log in at https://joaps.iitg.ac.in within the allotted time and should select any one of these three options

• Accept and Freeze
• Accept with Upgrade
• Reject and Quit

• If the applicant chooses "Accept and Freeze", then they take the provided seat and deny the opportunity to upgrade to a better preference in later rounds.
• If the applicant chooses "Accept with Upgrade", they approve the seat but would like to upgrade for to better preferences in the upcoming rounds.
• If the applicant chooses "Reject and Quit", they do not want to take the offered seat and would like to quit the admission process. Their offered seats will be cancelled and they will not be able to proceed with the admission process. For the "Reject and Quit" decision, the candidates will receive an OTP to their registered phone numbers which they have to enter to validate the decision.
