JEE Advanced Paper Analysis

JEE Advanced 2025 was conducted in two sessions (Paper 1 and Paper 2). Paper 1 was conducted from 9:00 am to noon, and Paper 2 was conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for candidates applying for engineering seats in the most esteemed engineering institutions in India. JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 1 Exam Analysis

Overall, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult.

Subject-wise difficulty level

  • Physics: Moderate
  • Chemistry: Easy to Moderate
  • Mathematics: Difficult

Most students found the JEE Adv 2025 paper 1 was well-balanced. Chemistry was considered the easiest section, while Physics and Mathematics demanded a more thoughtful approach. However, both were manageable within the allotted time, reflecting a fair difficulty level.

JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 2 Exam Analysis

Overall difficulty level: Moderately difficult

JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 2 was conducted on May 18, 2025, in the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The paper consisted of 51 questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with five questions in each subject. According to initial student reactions and expert analysis, the overall difficulty level of JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 2 was higher than Paper 1.

Subject-wise difficulty level

  • Mathematics: Mathematics was the toughest section in Paper 2. Questions were lengthy. Questions were asked on the topics: Calculus, Complex Numbers, Circle and Parabola, Probability and Combinations, Vectors and 3D Geometry, and Functions and Limits.
  • Physics: Moderate to High difficulty
  • Questions were asked from the topics: Electrostatics and Current Electricity, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Kinematics and Laws of Motion, Ray Optics and Wave Optics, and Modern Physics.
  • Chemistry: The difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate. Compared to Paper 1, this section was more balanced in Paper 2.
  • Questions were primarily asked from topics: Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Ionic Equilibrium, Aldehydes and Ketones, Polymers, Biomolecules, p-block Elements, Chemical Bonding, and Coordination Compounds.
