JEE Advanced Counseling 2024
JEE Advanced Counselling is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other participating engineering colleges. Here are the steps involved in the JEE Advanced Counselling process:
- Candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced need to register for JEE Advanced Counselling by filling in their basic details, JEE Advanced roll number, and other required information on the JoSAA website.
- After registration, candidates need to choose their preferred engineering colleges and courses in the order of their preference. It is essential to fill in as many choices as possible to increase the chances of getting a seat. Once the choices are filled, the candidates need to lock them by submitting them.
- Based on the candidate's rank, availability of seats, and preference, the JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allotment. In each round, the candidates are allotted seats in the engineering college and course of their choice. The seat allotment result is published on the JoSAA website.
- After the seat allotment, candidates need to report to the allotted college within the specified period and complete the admission formalities, such as payment of fees and document verification.
- If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, they can participate in further rounds of counselling and try for upgradation of the seat.
It is essential to keep track of the JEE Advanced Counselling schedule, important dates, and deadlines to avoid missing any crucial step in the admission process. Candidates should also keep all the required documents ready for verification during the counselling process.
