JEE Advanced Application

Candidates must fill up and submit the online JEE Advanced application form within the specified time frame. Usually, the application procedure begins following the release of the JEE Main results. Candidates should carefully read and adhere to the guidelines included in the application form. The application may be rejected or a candidate's candidature revoked if there is any error or discrepancy on the application form. Along with submitting the application form, applicants must also pay the application fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. The fee is different for different categories which includes Female Candidates (all categories), SC, ST, and PwD Candidates and All Other Candidates.

How to Apply

To apply for JEE Advanced, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the organizing authority.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who are among the top 2,50,000 in B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2024 are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates to be shortlisted based on various categories are- 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all
  • For the general category, candidates should not be born on or after October 1, 1998. Candidates who are SC, ST, or PwD receive a five-year age relaxation.
  • Candidates after two attempts in two consecutive years are not eligible for the third attempt
  • Candidates who have appeared in their 12th board examination.
  • A candidate should not be enrolled on any IIT before.

Once candidates have met the eligibility criteria, they can follow these steps to apply for JEE Advanced:

  • Visit the JEE Advanced official website.
  • Click on the "Registration" link.
  • Enter the JEE Main roll number and password.
  • Complete the application by providing all the required information, including personal information, address, and educational background.
  • Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents, including signatures and photos.
  • Use the online payment gateway to pay the application fees.
  • Submit the application form.
  • Take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
  • After successfully submitting the application form, candidates can download the admit card from the official website of JEE Advanced. The admit card contains important details such as the exam centre, date, and time. Make sure to carry the admit card and a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.

    Documents Required with the JEE application form are:

    • 12th or equivalent certificate
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
    • OCI/ PIO certificate
    • PwD certification (if applicable)
    • Date of birth proof

    Registration Fee

    • Female Candidates (all categories)- ₹ 1450
    • SC, ST, and PwD Candidates- ₹ 1450
    • All Other Candidates- ₹2900

To take the JEE Advanced exam, applicants must first pass the JEE Main exam and place among the top 2,50,000 rank holders. In addition, applicants must have passed their class 12 examinations or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
