Students should have 3 or 5 years of LLB degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from any recognized university in India to apply for these courses. The medium of study should be English. Final years students are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Master of Philosophy in Law (M. Phil):
Candidates willing to apply for this course should have passed post graduation level in law from the any recognized university of India and abroad with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks. Final year students with at least 55% marks in the undergraduate examinations can apply for this program.

Eligibility Criteria for Doctor of Philosophy in Law (PhD):
Candidates who have acquired at least 55% marks in their post-graduation and M. Phil examinations are eligible to apply for this doctoral program. Candidates with the clearance of UGC- CSIR NET/ JRF or SLET/GATE and experience of a minimum of one year as JRF in major research projects (externally funded) may not require M. Phil certification.
